Christmas in Egypt is very popular. There are communities that are still celebrating this festival. The main community with established Christmas traditions are the Copts. As they are an orthodox church, theyre celebrating Christmas on January 7th. The festival is preceded with 43 days of fasting that prohibits consuming animal-based food.
