When Howard Carter discovered and entered the tomb in November 1922 he was struck by the aromatic scent of the strong but pleasant smells in the tomb, which he described in detail. This information, together with reference to the actual embalming fluid of Tutankhamun, has enabled these smells to be reproduced. This replica of tetradrachm of Cleopatra VII is a souvenir coin reproduction from The Hunterian Museum, Glasgow.
The original tetradrachm was thought to be minted in Antioch around 32 BCE. Obverse of this replica coin shows bust of Cleopatra, reverse - bust of Mark Anthony. This is one of the first minted coins in Egypt. Before this period trade was conducted by means of bartering or gold.

This souvenir coin is approximately 1/2"(1.2cm) in diameter and comes in a nice presentation pack revealing interesting facts about Cleopatra.
